CBMS Students Raise Money for Puerto Rico

When students in Spanish class learned about the devastation in Puerto Rico caused by Hurricane Maria on September 20th, they wanted to do something to help.  Six months later with 100,000 Americans in Puerto Rico still without power we began to raise money to see if we could help with the monumental task of rebuilding the island of Puerto Rico.  In only ONE week students in Ms. Magnuson’s Spanish class, with the help of an Honors Club bake sale, had raised almost $400 dollars!  The entire school is now involved as we try to raise more money for this important cause.  Donations can be made to Ms. Magnuson and there are also donation boxes in Ms. Gowin’s class for 7th graders, and Mrs. Jones’ class for 6th graders.  We are excited to see how much our kids can raise in the next few weeks!
