During the last week of July 2018, Quentin Foster, CHS senior, traveled to the Envision Engineering camp at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia.
At Georgia Tech, Foster learned about all the different areas of engineering. He programmed helicopters, built prosthetics and created model samples of bridges and water towers that could actually hold textbooks and water. He also listened to engineers talk about what they do in their fields.
Foster plans on going into an engineering field of work after high school and college. He went to this camp to help him decide what field of engineering he wants to pursue. “At the camp, I was not able to determine the specific field of engineering that I want to go in, but it was still an enlightening experience,” said Foster.
