During the month of November, Jason Watermann, CHS cross country coach, track coach and business teacher, received the monthly flower arrangement from CHS principal Matt Smith. The Arrangement of the Month is a flower bouquet given to a teacher to show appreciation for the work he or she has done for the school and community.
Smith presented the arrangement to Watermann because of all the work he put in with the cross country team. He said, “Once again this fall they [the cross country team] had an outstanding season, and I wanted him to know how much we all appreciate his efforts.” According to Smith, Watermann has a positive attitude. “He constantly exudes optimism, positive energy and a helpful attitude. That positive attitude is contagious, and it makes our school environment a more welcoming place for students and staff,” said Smith.
Watermann loves being a teacher because he is able to make a difference in the lives of students. He enjoys coaching and being a co-sponsor of FBLA. Watermann teaches many students as a business instructor, but the one main idea he wants his students to learn is that he cannot change the world for them. Watermann tries to set an equal playing field for his students to help equip them for what the future has in store.
