Kindergarten Reading Powers

Kindergarten has been using our reading curriculum to work on building our super powers to help us  become “Super Readers!” Some of those powers include, pointer power-using your finger to point to the words, picture power- using the picture to get your brain ready for what the words may say, sound power- using our letter sound knowledge for words we are unfamiliar with, snap word powers- sight words, re-read power-re-reading the text when it doesn’t make sense, and book talk power- talking about the book before and after they finish. The kids have worked really hard to work on building these powers over the last several weeks!
