CHS Band Celebrates Christmas

The Centralia High School Concert Band held their annual Christmas concert on December 12, 2018, to present the hard work the students have been doing since the marching season ended.

The band prepared “A Christmas Festival,” “On a Catalonian Carol” and “The Nutcracker Suite.”

Mrs. Neighbors, CHS band director, felt the concert was amazing. All the pieces were well- prepared, and the band performed with such a mature sense of musicianship. It was one of her favorite concerts of her teaching career. Her favorite song was “On a Catalonian Carol” because it is unique and beautiful.

Color Guard performed “Jingle Bell Rock.” According to Mrs. Patton, the CHS Color Guard sponsor, the girls did an amazing job as they always do. The Color Guard girls solely arranged this entire performance. They put all the skills they have learned this year into making their own routine. Patton is very proud of their work.
