Angell Named CHS February Student of the Month

Schyler Angell, CHS sophomore, received the Student of the Month award for February. Jason Watermann, CHS cross country coach and business teacher, nominated her for this honor.

Angell is the daughter of Justin Angell and Sally and Russ Thomas. She is one of the FFA executive officers and the Key Club secretary.  Additionally, she is the sophomore class president, a SKRUBS member and a CHS cross country and track team participant. Outside of school, she writes for the Cattlemen’s Advocate in the youth column and is a member of the Missouri Team Beef running team. Her favorite class is Language II.

Watermann nominated Angell because she is a positive example of what a Centralia Panther is. Angell, a student athlete, has a busy schedule, and Watermann recognizes that “Schyler maintains straight A’s in school and has made many strides this Cross Country season.” He also said, “In my Intro to Business class, she is always involved in class discussions and has shown leadership when it comes to entrepreneurship.” Angell goes above and beyond to show the Panther spirit in her everyday actions.

After high school, Angell would like to pursue a degree in dietetics and a minor in agricultural business. Eventually, she would like to use her degree to work with an agricultural business or industry in consumer education.
