The Kindergarten classes have had an EGGciting week with the chicks! Last week we talked about Chicks/Chickens and observed the eggs and their development through books and videos! When we arrived at school on Monday, we found some of the chicks had hatched, and many of the classes got to actually observe a chick hatching from the egg that day! The kids were so excited! We took “chick breaks” where the kids sat in a circle and got to watch, touch, and hold the chicks. The chicks will go to their forever home Thursday after school. This would not have been possible without the support of our Chance Elementary PTO who payed for this opportunity though the Audrain County Extension Office.
