Dr. Matt Smith was awarded the FBLA Administrator of the Year by Missouri FBLA. Andrew Reynolds, Jason Watermann and CHS FBLA nominated Smith for this title. Reynolds had to include an essay on why he qualified for administrator of the year by filling out an application on the FBLA website.

Reynolds nominated Smith because he felt he made a great contribution to Centralia’s FBLA. “Since he arrived here at CHS, Dr. Smith has been willing to help and has always kept an open mind when I brought him ideas about what FBLA would like to do,” said Reynolds. Smith was invited to the FBLA State Convention in Springfield, Missouri, and awarded a plaque in front of a crowd of several thousand people.

Smith was honored to be nominated and receive the award. He said, “I feel very appreciative of the great sponsors and students we have representing CHS FBLA. Mr. Reynolds and Mr. Watermann do an outstanding job of promoting FBLA and supporting the needs of our students, and obviously, we have many talented students who work hard and strive for excellence.”
