7th Grade Girls Basketball Places 2nd in North Callaway Tournament

Pictured below are the 7th Grade Lady Panthers after their 2nd place finish in the North Callaway tournament.

The 7th grade girls basketball team has continued to work hard this season. Over the past few weeks the team has had games against Mexico, North Callaway, and Harrisburg. The girls beat Mexico (34-9) and Harrisburg (27-25). The leading scorer against Mexico was Caris Finlay with 20 points, and Tilly Fox against Harrisburg with 9 points. The girls lost a close game to North Callaway (20-18). Bailey Schuering lead the Lady Panthers with 8 points.

The 7th grade girls also competed in the North Callaway tournament last week. The Lady Panthers beat South Callaway in the first round 28-15. The leading scorer was Caris Finlay with 10 points. The team played Montgomery County for the championship game, and lost a tough game by 1 point (31-30). Nora Jimerson lead the team with 8 points.

The team currently has a record of 4-6, and walked away with a 2nd place finish in the North Callaway Tournament last week. The girls look forward to our last few games next week!
