Mizzou’s Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) business chapter welcomed twelve FBLA students from Centralia for an informational visit on Friday, December 6, 2019.
This excursion helped students broaden their knowledge of the University of Mizzou and the opportunity the college offers. Andrew Reynolds, CHS teacher and FBLA adviser, shared some details about the FBLA – PBL day. Reynolds said, “I think it was a great opportunity to see the campus and hear directly from students about their experiences.” Students participated in team-building activities, listened to speeches from Mizzou PBL students and advisors, and toured parts of the campus.
Not only was the trip informational, but it was also enjoyable for the students as well. Reynolds said, “After the visit at Mizzou, we visited with past chapter President Adam Petty and spend a little bit of time at the Columbia Mall before heading back to school.” According to Reynolds, there were around 6 other high school FBLA chapters, adding up to a total of 100 FBLA members in attendance.
