This past week we celebrated Kindness Week at Chance Elementary. Our theme this year was “Kids Helping Kids,” in which we focused on the Ronald McDonald house in Columbia, MO. We kicked off the week with a school wide assembly to explain what the Ronald McDonald house was and to show the students how they can help others in our local community and why it is so important to show, and always chose kindness. We also explained to the kiddos that it starts with one act of kindness that can spread to so many others and how helpful that can be. We worked hard on making cards to send to children that are currently staying at the Ronald McDonald House and read several stories about being kind to each other and how we can help in our local community.
