In Kindergarten, we have been working all year on building our early reading skills. We have been working on using our super reading powers of picture power, pointer power, snap word power, re-read power, sound power, stretch power etc to read harder more challenging books. To have a celebration in building these reading muscles stronger, just like a super hero, we made super reader capes, and joined with another Kindergarten class to read books we have been reading during private reading time. Developing early reading skills, and a positive attitude towards reading, helps all kids develop a love of reading!
