Updated Summer Academy Information

Dear Parents and Guardians:

We are excited to announce, pending Boone County Health department approval, that we are offering in-seat Summer School for students entering grades K-8th grade. In order to run a safe and successful program, while staying in compliance with the Boone County Health Department, we will need to make noticeable changes to our Summer School program this year.

One of those changes will be the decision to operate Summer School during a four day week (Monday-Thursday ONLY).

Summer School Locations & Dates:

Summer School for grades K-8 will start Monday, July 20th, and run through Thursday, August 13th. Similar to last year, summer school for grades K-2 will be held at Chance Elementary School, while grades 3-8 will be held at Centralia Intermediate School.

Summer School will NOT be in session on the following Fridays: July 24th, July 31st, August 7th, August 14th.

Transportation Information:

***Transportation, to and from Summer School, will NOT be provided by the District***

With transportation not being district provided, information regarding student dropoff and pickup procedures will be provided at a later date.

New Summer School Registration Information:

You will find an updated Summer School registration link attached to this email. If you plan on sending your student to Summer School please fill out the form in a timely manner. We have also placed the registration form on our school website and District Facebook page. Students will be assigned their schedules based on grade level.5

If you previously turned in a copy of the paper registration form handed out at school, please fill out the new electronic form so that we can plan accordingly.

Please have Summer School registration forms completed by Friday, June 26th.
