CHS Student and Parents,
Like many other things so far in 2020, Parent/Teacher Conferences will look different here at Centralia High School
this year. We want to encourage and support the communication process between parents and teachers.
However, in light of current Boone County Health Department mandates, we also want to make every effort to channel this communication through email and conference calls in order to mitigate the possibility of potential exposures and/or quarantines. With the close of the 1st quarter rapidly approaching, I’d like to take this opportunity to share with you how we will go about communicating about student progress.
Grade cards will be emailed out to students and parents on October 21st. On October 21st and 22nd, teachers will be
reaching out via email to the parents of any students they have additional information for. During this same time frame, I encourage all parents to review their student’s grade card and email their student’s teachers with any questions they may have about the grades or related areas of student progress. Teachers will respond to all questions with as much detail as possible. Should this dialogue require more specific give and take, you may request, via email to the teacher, a link for setting up a conference call appointment. Conference call times will be available to be scheduled from 12:45pm-5:00pm on Thursday, October 22nd
We are extremely appreciative of the job our students and families have done ensuring that our 2020-21 school year
has gotten off to a great start. If you have any questions, please contact us at the CHS office at 573-682-3508.
