This year in 6th grade Social Studies, we will begin with a study of the continents and oceans.  This will remain a secondary focus throughout the year.  We will move in the a study of Prehistory following our continent study.  We will study the ice age and the time periods following. 

Each unit will include vocabulary, notes and some sort of assessment.  Students are expected to have a spiral notebook which will be used only for Social Studies.  This should be brought to class daily.  All students should have pencils and colored pencils and an ink pen for classroom use.
