In 7th grade Social Studies we are currently studying culture.   Culture is the way of life of people who share similar beliefs and customs.    Within culture there are 8 traits that make up a persons culture social groups, language, religion, daily life, history, arts, government and economy.  Students will be able to define each of the 8 traits of culture and give examples of the 8 traits.   In class will with read, dicuss, take notes, and have worksheets to reinforce the defintions and examples of the 8 traits of culture. 

          Currently in 7th grade Social Studies students are studying what geography is and geography landforms.  Students made notecards last week for their 28 geography landform terms.    Students should be studying their notecards,  the 28 terms will be on their first test.  Students are also using their terms to make a geography terms map.  After the maps are complete we will finish covering the unit and students will have a test over that information.
