From the Desk of the Superintendent - June
The summer months have arrived, and it is a busy time for our maintenance crews. I met with our contractors who will be adding the final pieces of air conditioning to the high school this summer, and they are anxious to get started. We have several projects going on around the district, and it is sure to be a hectic summer.
Summer school is in full swing. It’s great to see the students getting opportunities to supplement their education during the summer months. We want students to learn

At Chance Elementary School from 8:15 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Kindergarten - June 3-14
First Grade - June 3 - 21
Second Grade - June 3 - 28
At Chester Boren Middle School from 8:15 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Third through Eigth Grade - June 3 - 28
At Centralia High School
Session 1 - June 3 - 21 from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Session 2 - June 24 - June 28 and July 8 - 19 from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

From the Desk of the Superintendent - May
The Centralia R-VI Board of Education met Monday night, May 13, 2013. The meeting kicked off with the Centralia High School’s State Champion FFA Ag. Issues Team. They performed their state winning presentation for the board and fielded questions afterwards.It was excellent and another great testament to the quality education our students are receiving. Hats off to the team, Mr. Stone and Mrs. Lewis.
