Part-Time Parent Educator Position

The Centralia R-VI School District is accepting applications for a part-time parent educator position with the Parents as Teachers program. Interested persons should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as education or experience in child development. Hours are flexible, but the position will require some late afternoon and evening hours. A job description, qualifications and an application may be obtained from the Centralia R-VI Board of Education office, 635 S Jefferson or at www.centralia.k12.mo.us

Our PAT Educators:

The Centralia R-VI PAT Program consists of seven Parent Educators how conduct home visits, small group sessions, and large group sessions. These educators include: Mary Ann Sander - Director, Carla Ingram, Jennifer Thomas, Laura Thomas, Jennifer Holland

Mission

The goal of Parents as Teachers is to help parents get their child off to the best possible start. Parents as teachers is offered free of charge throughout the state of Missouri through each school district. Our program is open to any family living in the Centralia School District who are expecting a child or who have a child not yet in kindergarten. The Parents as Teachers program produces confident, competent parents and happy, well-rounded academically able children. Please call Chance Elementary School, 682-2014 for more information or to enroll in the program. We look forward to working with you. Remember, you are your child's best teacher!
